This game is so strange when it comes to vehicles. People in other games try and keep vehicles to themselves but in Foxhole I've only ever experienced people actively looking for people to crew their vehicles. I've been "conscripted" about 5 times to be an outlaw crew member and 1 time to be a Silverback crew member. It's a weird but a good kind of weird experience.

This battle was my 2nd or 3rd time playing foxhole ever. I was fighting to hold the western gates for most of it. It was absolute hell. Artillery and gas everywhere, with collie bayonetters rushing constantly. A couple days later, I tried logi for the first time and ended up driving through the city. The air was full of ash, several buildings leveled, pure carnage everywhere.

I already have over 80hrs now. This game is awesome

I think my favorite part of this game is how brutal and rewarding the fighting is. Fight like its the last man to gain an inch only to have it taken back hours later!

You are probably my favourite foxhole channel, sorta like Welyn with the great story telling.

This is the kind of gameplay I need to be a part of. I spent too much time with random people or just by myself, and things got a little boring.

Around the time you have uploaded this video, I have a War 83 story to tell:

I was playing as Warden goes by name Solid Spin and I have decided to spawn in backline hex you call Drowned Vale by the border of Allod's Bight in the town called Bootnap, upon arriving I find out the bunker base south from the town has no active AI so partisans will have no problems getting passed. The town hall of Bootnap got destroyed by such partisans and even I have radio equipped I couldn't able to detect their presence on the map which I may believe they have Recon uniforms on, which makes them invisible to watchtowers they also have limited backback space.

Meanwhile on Allod's Bight, since its under Collie's control however they are mopping up the warden bunker bases within the rapid decay zone with lots of artillery and hundred of infantry rushes, once that is done their goal is most likely going to be pacifying Drowned Vale since the wardens have pushed the collies few days earlier out of Drowned Vale and is just recently taken, which explains the bunker base without AI defense by Bootnap. Which is unfortunately why the wardens were unprepared for collie assault some time later.

The first collie infantry are fighting inside the bunker base while we're trying to expand and to no surprise of mine, the option to increase the AI defense couldn't get on faster while we're losing shirts and equipment to the enemy that is keeping skirmishing however that is not the worst part, the skirmish is not a skirmish anymore when collies are bringing a tank which I believe its a bardiche or something, we couldn't get close to the tank that infantry is covering any approaching warden trying to blow the tank up with mammons or sticky grenades.

So I believe its a good time to rally a Quick Response Force (QRF) with armour support and time to wake the entire region up for the Collie push through Bootnap.

Frustrated of getting killed by the infantry and the tank around the bunker base, I was about to logging off and call it a day, but that is when I saw one tank driving by which is controlled by warden called Snowfall and he's lacking a gunner. I ask to join the tank as gunner and he agrees. I have been around War 80 and I haven't really gotten a chance to play the tank role which I am mostly Infantry and Logi player, so first time for everything. I should also note that I am gunning on Scout Tank which means they can only shoot 12, 7MM which is usually the type of ammo for LMG's so it can't put a dent against a tank that can put shells on the scout tank but that makes them the deadly counter against infantry.

So on the first day I am now gunner of the scout tank that is on its way to Bootnap, our job would be to kill many collie infantry as possible since this is such large force maintained by a lot of infantry which I think its about a hundred all at once, we need to slow down their advance while hopefully the logi are doing their job to keep well supplied with Bmats to repair and having the equipment to fight back. However its not easy for logi to send supply trucks to the town hall since the collies are crawling everywhere on Bootnap and it should be common sight that not all supply trucks manage to reach the town hall and submit every content out of it.

The first night is approaching and more warden tanks are coming to assist to halt the assault on Bootnap, however the collie infantry are well supplied with sticky grenades that will prove devastating to the tanks since its easier to cause the tracks to malfunction which causes the tanks to be immobile makes them easy prey for further grenade throws until it finally dies. We saw the silverhands go down that way in the dark while me as the gunner are trying to keep the rushing grenadiers off of our scout tank! We are able to kill more and more infantry and it should be to no one surprise that the bunker base south of Bootnap is destroyed and we have to retreat back to the town hall as more collies are now fighting house to house and the supplies on Bootnap are running low. Since then we're running low on fuel, ammo and bit low on hull we have left, we have to retreat to resupply and refuel and repair by the next day, but we manage to survive the first night.

Its the same routine for the second day mostly, but the collies are mostly everywhere in Bootnap and the Logi trucks have little no chance to reach it to the town hall at all, so in my response its better to give supplies by the bunker base far north of Bootnap across the bridge which will be important detail later in this story. Anyway, my killstreak has gone to the dozens which I think I have reached half a hundred kills on this scout tank alone, every time I see Bardiche tank or something like that in the matter, we are out of range easily due the scout tank is very fast while having the lowest hull armour of all tank classes, we get harassed by sticky grenades and probably even anti-tank rifles. While we're supplied with gas masks and few filters, we haven't seen even one gas grenade dropping at us. Nevertheless the bardiche tank is still out there while apparently the warden scout tank is the only noted threat to the collies and they haven't still manage to destroy us. We manage to keep removing their soldier shirts, thats for sure.

The second night is approaching and wardens are trapped inside the town hall and cannot fight back other than pistols while the collies have their grenades and the tank to bring down the town hall, while we're fighting in the pitch dark once again where a collie grenadier can take advantage of sneaking up on us. All it will take is three sticky grenades to kill us - the good news is the throw range can't go any further than three meters and with our scout tank we can easily dodge them when we see the grenade flying. By killing several collies again however, the town hall has been destroyed since there's likely no more survivors left in Bootnap, we're forced to retreat to the bridge north of Bootnap.

We're holding the bridge to ensure the collies will not advance north of here. We have the high ground and we're blocking the passage for the collie infantry and since its slowly heading towards the dawn, our vision is increasing which leaves no more opportunity for the collies sneaking on us with sticky grenades. But I do know for sure that the collies are pissed because of our deeds killing a lot of them, I don't know what happen to their Logi by Allod's Bight but we sure manage to strain their shirt supplies. As the dawn breaks up and the vision is recovered entirely we're now at day 3 and we're still alive for that time, we've killing more collies by the bridge which I believe we're now at least three-quarters of 100 kills, I don't know if I ever made a 100 kills in span of three days but we sure did go past 50-75 kills.

And then the fucking collie tank we tried to evade them on several occasions are now showing up on our view. So we're not planning to die there so we retreated deeper to the other side of the bridge while the collie tank wants the scout tank destroyed. By the time their tank made it to the other side however....

The whole bunker base went haywire of the active AI defense, everything including rifles, Machineguns and anti-tank rifles/cannons are firing at the collie bardiche tank and eventually destroyed. What a day to be alive and I am myself under disbelief we actually survived the worst of the collies assault and with their shirts supplied also sufficiently decreased by the border base on Allod's Bight. We're relieved to see warden reinforcements with tanks coming in the bunker base going to take back Bootnap. Me and Snowfall have endured in-game three days in a scout tank and manage to hold the collie invasion on Drowned Vale.

I pondered what have happened and what this means for the future of Wardens? One wise man said that only the dead have seen the end of the war, but I disagree. With the dawn of the sun rising up, I know that I have seen the end of the war approaching for weeks to come. We have single-handled stopped the collies from mounting counter-offensive on the middle regions. I logged off from that moment, knowing my and Snowfall efforts are unsinged but we know this has impact of the war that is before nuking Ashtown as next sufficient milestone of the War 83.

Nowadays I am on break by War 84, because what are the devs thinking. One day resistance and to next war right away.

But remember ladies and gentlemen, once I find Snowfall again and make our scout tank. We will be ready for the next killing spree.

Foxhole nailed urban warfare. Alot of urban warfare games look identical but you don't feel like you're in war because there's not much destruction to it and it feels like shit. Foxhole however captures the very thing i want which is teamwork, the gun effects, the environment, everything! Thanks for introducing this masterpiece to me, MoiDawg. You never fail to impress me.

Saltbrook really is the new Saltyngrad. For newer players, Saltygrad was first used for Salt Farms on the old map, where Salt Farms was one of the most prominent and brutal locatiens in the World Conquest.

The coolest part was @5:04 when that medic literally picked you up to relocate you. Such a badass mechanic

The strategic overview that your custom map screens provide is definitely worth lower video output for me.

You'll be a great tank crew member for sure, knowing that driving is most important. Not just for looking after the vehicle, though. But for making the final decision on maneuvers as well as ensuring the crew is kept safe and aware of immediate threats.

Very important job.

@MoiDawg Welcome to Salt-ingrad, comrade. Since they should be teched by now, you should also start taking a gander at artillery/mortar firepower. It's difficult to get started (seasoned FO's are very much required!) and has a fairly large logistical footprint, but sending 120/150mm HE into all chunks of the map can significantly alter how well a fortified area stands... (yes there's also the Storm Cannon's 300mm, but those require a substantial investment within the bunker complex they're attached to).

Hi there, im actually a Collie player who took apart in this, as well as the advance in to OJT. Im a Mid rank in 141CR and am the guy who sat on the Emplaced Flak gun that held the western road in to Saltingrad for a solid 6 hours.

I actually had to go steal a Crane and spent 15 mins finding that gun before I rolled it up and set it up on the road, this was a hell of a high for both sides, with my personal highlight me being the guy who killed the HAC that kept firing down the main road after one of our ISG teams disabled it.

Cheers mate and good fighting.
