I snapped a bolt trying to torque the rear control arm bolts to 88.5ft*lbf. For both bolts the correct torque is 59ft*lbf.

It might be good to go over measuring shock body length compared to stock so people know how to get the exact drop they want. Given your coil overs have an adjustable shock body.

Please double check your torque spec figures. The service manual says all rear lower control arm nuts EXCEPT for the sway bar end link and the headlight sensor nuts should be tightened to [59 ft*lbf]. The end link nut is 28 and the headlight sensor 5.5 ft lbf.

Just in time for my upcoming coilover install!

Just bought the FR-Spec, they’ll be my first set of coilovers. Can’t wait, I hope they’re worth it.

Did you have to modify/roll fenders? Also what's the wheel size/offset and tire size and camber? Ohh and is there any rubbing?
I love this look

The rear suspension install is not specific enough: the axle carrier should be jacked up until the drive shaft is parallel with the ground before tightening to spec. (See service manual)

When will y’all be restocking the OLM VL taillights ft86edition?

Do you ever check your customer service emails. Still waiting on stuff that was never shipped.

Thomas, when you drop your car from from factory height with coilovers. Its ok to use oem endlinks? I cant see how that works cuz the oem endlink is long and the car has been lowered. Wouldnt you need aftermarket adjustable endlinks to compensate for the amount of inches lowered?
kuelee
On the website for the FR spec it says the rear can only be lowered to 1.9 and the front can be lowered to 2.4. Which one is right?

What about loosening all the bolts connected to bushings and putting them in their most neutral position?
alexanderdavidtarras
Is this coilover good for daily driving ? I just bought one :D

What size wheels are you running in this video. Want to know what I can clear

How do these (FR-Spec) compare to Tein flex Z in terms of durability/miles?
How many miles should I expect from either of these coilovers?
Edit: I'm reading the comments about ft86 customer service. Guys they aren't that bad. Honestly and I'm a horrible customer, I harrassed them about nearly every part I've purchased from them. They answered every single one of those questions. Please be patient.

my friend and I are facing a problem where we cant get the lower control arm back into place, the holes don't line up properly for us to put the bolt back into place... We have to push the whole assembly outwards in order to move the LCA in the right direction but even then it doesn't seem to be enough

How does the FR-Spec spring rate compare to the OEM suspension?

Can I buy the use coilovers in the car before the install?
Torquetwospec
Noob question, when lowering the car, don't you need adjustable end links? The end links in the video looks to be oem length.
