Stay at home mom here. She is speaking facts. I learned this when I was younger, I helped my mom mange her money. I managed my money just like that too but my goal was to have a whole year saved of mortgage payments and 50% of bills like the light bill and water. Once I did me and my hubby started a family. I started managing his money and at first it was a little tighter than he would like but I wanted to save at least three months of bills including mortgage quickly. It wasn’t easy he had to do over time and side jobs. 😂 but he thanked me. Now our goal is to save up for retirement and for the kids.

I've been doing this method since beginning of the year. I was able to take a family vacation without all the stress worrying about money. I specifically had set the money aside for it. I recently had a emergency vet bill and was able to pay without a second thought. It was so nice just to worry about the care of my cat and not money.

My friend used this method…it worked so well for her! She actually joined a group of ladies who met every week to go thru the whole process together & it also encouraged them to support each other! Nice video!

My older daughter had a problem with over spending. My sister told her about this method. It did take a bit to get the hang of it but soon she was one month ahead and then two months ahead, etc. Paying her bills this way enabled her to see what money was left over for spend on fun stuff.

This is good if you have the funds. If you’re paycheck to paycheck or taking care of others don’t worry you will get there

I needed to see this today. I used pay the rent for February and march every time I got my taxes, so that it i was ever behind a month, or something unexpected came up, I was already a month ahead. But my landlord was always calling me on the 10th, and sending notice to pay…I had to remind him every single month that I wasn’t behind, but two and a half weeks AHEAD

This video is unbelievable. I grew up ruining my credit before I even knew what a credit was. Fast forward for many years and here I am and have nothing to show no money saved broke in debt bad very bad credit and will be homeless in 3 days with nowhere to go. Yes I actually have more than one job. Let this be a lesson to those who don't take control their finances. There can come a time where you'll have to live in your car or on the street because you made bad decisions. I'm living reality of that right now

We do this, but instead of using cash we use different bank accounts and an excel spreadsheet to track how much each account gets per paycheck. It’s easy and basic budgeting, so I’m always surprised when people don’t do something similar.
