P.S. My code works for 10% off purchases but for the BOGO sale specifically, all you have to use is the link. Enjoy the video guys (:

I can't even be mad about being clickbaited like this, it's a genuinely refreshing change of pace hearing you talking about something chill, laidback, and somewhat wholesome rather than covering scathing Twitter drama as per usual. I'd love to see more videos like this from you!

When rev is coping about something, you know it’s serious

Seeing Toonami Tom reminds me he's voiced by Steve Blum. :D A very talented actor!

Thank you for sharing your anime starter pack with us, Rev!

Just wanted to say I appreciate what you do Rev. I'm glad you’re willing to expose the hypocrisy of the Internet.

Rev perfectly described the appeal of slice of life anime

Rev is literally the most chill guy. I would like to meet him someday and hangout.

Your anime cracks are how I originally found your channel so many years ago XD

Every time you uploaded those, I wasn't sure you were gonna keep uploading them. You uploading those kept me mentally afloat when my parents and I were living in our car.

Love this style of chill/casual talk!! it's nice to get away from all the drama, and also get some anime recs out of it 😆 I could listen to a whole podcast of rev discussing and reviewing anime 🤘

When I watched Toonami it was on the afternoons after school back in 1998. Dragon ball Z, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, Big O, and Outlaw Star were the shit.

Pokemon was my first anime. Was caught up in the Pokemania of the late 90's and am still a fan today.
There were a lot of things in it that 7-year-old me didn't understand, such as the giant tear drops (sweat drops), the giant crosses when someone was mad (popped veins), and the triangular "donuts" with the black square. (rice balls with a seaweed strip/onigiri)

I didn't know what "anime" was back then, so when I saw the word on Pokemon websites, I thought that was the name of a girl or something.

I also remember watching a lot of Yu-Gi-Oh on Kids WB. Saw parts of Dragonball Z, Sailor Moon, and Cardcaptors on Toonami, but didn't get that invested.

I mean, we are always thankful for all your hardwork covering the internet dramas going on; but yeah Rev, videos like this, just talking about the animes and mangas that you like, are very well welcome over here o7
If we could get something like this more often, it would be nice imo

Thank you Rev for sharing your life progression, because this is such a refreshing and inspiring story of personal journey in growing up as a person. Honestly, this feels so relatable. I also grow up with anime like Inuyasha in my childhood, then between middle to high school, I watch a lot more anime that are usually mainstream and generic before trying something new. It's only when I'm later in stage of life, around college that I begin to truly appreciate slice of life anime for its casual comfy cuteness.

Fun fact… Toonami used to run everyday and in the afternoon… they’d show Zoids, Sailor Moon, DBZ, and several others… it was pretty cool

I'm GenX and my first 'real', i.e. subbed uncensored, was the original Bubblegum Crisis OVA on VHS
Still one of the best of the cyberpunk genre and one of the best OST of any anime.

My first three (and you can tell I'm an Oldtaku) were Jack & The Beanstalk, Winds of Change and Starblazers (both Quest for Iscandar & Comet Empire, but not Bolar Wars). But the one that really got me was in 1985, while in middle school, Robotech (yes, yes. Boo! Hiss!) More specifically NOT Macross, but Southern Cross!
