Every country the British discovered & conquered, that's how they treated anyone who wasn't white. Indigenous Americans Indigenous Australians Africans Asians where all treated that way by the white British. I am half Dutch & half aboriginal on my mums side.

Takes a long long time to equalise after something like this. Inter generational trauma, low socio economic and educational divides takes generations to overcome.

Video's like this broaden my knowledge and take a subject like this to a whole different level... That's why I like yt. It's so important to know these things about one's history.

Not sure how much you like/follow Trevor Noah, but he does some amazing stand up shows where he talks about SA apartheid. Plus has a book of his own experience. It's fascinating and really sad.

Yeah things were really bad here in South Africa, this is why today 70% of our land is owned by white people and only 4% is owned by black people. White people make up only 8% of our population while black people make up 80%. So we have a minority owning majority of land.

The government is trying to rectify this with a policy called land expropriation without compensation. Which essentially means government has the right to take land from white people and give it to black people. But only land that is not being used, is abandoned or has no future use by the owner, or the white onwer cannot prove the land was legitimately bought.

Australia had its own version of apartheid. It’s where South Africa got the idea for it. Australians indigenous people were not treated as people until the middle of the 20th century. We too still have the same problems. A lot of FNP still live in their communities a d some have no running water and 20 people living in one house.
Our laws regarding coloured people didn’t just affect australian aboriginals. Even during ww2 when black American servicemen here they weren’t allowed into certain places and no black people were allowed to immigrate to Australia.
White Australia policy
Not it’s official name but what it was.
Pre 1950s white farmers could get licenses to shoot black people who came into their land ……

I follow your Chanel quite a Time, and I love to See you widening your Horizon, but I really fear for your Schoolsystem. Even Basics are missing in History, Geographie, Politics and so on. So, keep und learning.
