Diesel locomotive ChME2 is a Czechoslovak shunting diesel locomotive with electric transmission with an axial formula 20−20.
In 1957, the Czechoslovak factories "ChKD" began to produce shunting diesel locomotives with electric transmission, which received the designation of the T 435.0 series on the railways of Czechoslovakia. In 1958, the Soviet Union acquired the first two experimental diesel locomotives of this type. On the purchased copies, an automatic coupler was installed and the maximum speed was increased from 60 to 70 km/h. Diesel locomotives received the designation ChME2 №001 and 002 (Czechoslovak shunting with electric transmission, type 2; type 1 meant a VME1 diesel locomotive supplied from Hungary).
