Top 10 hidden facts airlines don't want you to know!

For example, have you ever considered why plane windows are the shape they are? They weren’t designed so angular just to look pretty, but instead to decrease the pressure when flying. Similarly, that little hole you’ve always noticed in the corner of the window? There’s a very good reason it’s there, and it’s one that’ll probably help to reassure you on your next trip.

Re: the food poisoning. That all started with a 1950s radio drama called "Flight Into Danger." In this radio play, both pilots got food poisoning, and the plane had to be flown in to land by a passenger who had been a WW2 fighter pilot. The story scared all the airlines so much that they all implemented a "different meals" rule for their pilots. If it's ever happened in real life, I haven't heard about it!

The reason flight attendants dont tell us these "secrets" is because no one gives a fuck about it even if they did tell us.

The windows are that shape because it removes the potential for stress fractures in the metal skin around the window. This was discovered following the in flight losses of a number of the early Comet jet liners because metal fatigue around their square windows caused the planes to break up

Did anyone else catch the editing glitch or more like the creation blooper in this video at 5 minutes & 42 seconds? I'll give you a clue it immediately follows the statement printed that says, "Flying on an empty tank". Nothing bad just caught my eye and found it to be a fun fact. Maybe someone from The HUB will read this and fix it before anyone else notices it, but with over 7 million views at this point, it's likely they already know of it and just don't care! I can't say that I would. Enjoy and thanks for taking the time to create this video and share it with all of us. I didn't post this with any disrespect in mind, FYI. EJ Mandigo-Kneszewski
