Im 73 and three weeks into my new Guitar life! I'm enjoying it. If I have learnt three things on the journey they are:
a) you got to know which strings you are using for a chord... and it might be only two.
b) the tone you get is important and so don't accept sloppiness
c)every time you play it you get a bit better. Always.

Guitar beginners:
If the chords are too hard, I’m learning just the TAB (strings). Once you get comfy with those, then the chords will be easier!
