We're still exploring! See my channel for a snippet of the electron plasma oscillation audio that confirmed we had entered interstellar space.

I certainly hope that humanity catches up with these interstellar emissaries. Perhaps the Voyagers will one day be collected and returned to Earth as museum exhibits.

This is a poetic and moving encapsulation of the two Voyager probes' impact on humanity's understanding of our cosmic address.

Just watched an old Tonight Show clip from 1973 in which Carl Sagan lamented that the Voyager mission (he referred to it as "Grand Tour") couldn't go forward because of lack of funding. Apparently the funding was found shortly afterwards.

1:58 Did this NY Times narrator just pronounce 'Iapetus' like "Yapetus"?

Any interstellar spacecraft needs to be covered in soil and baked in an oven until it becomes a space rock. This will provide it good protection even if it were to eventually crash into a planet.
