Basic Shampoo:

1. Drape Client

2. Assist client in chair, making sure to adjust for their comfort.

3. Before wetting clients hair, adjust the water temperature and check on your wrist.

4. Apply shampoo, beginning at hairline, apply to crown area, both side temple areas, the back right and left areas of head.

5. Work with the pads of your fingertips, from the hairline working back into a lather.

6. Working your fingers back and forth at top of crown. Work fingertips front to back on left and right sides. Lift clients head gently to lather shampoo in back of head with your fingertips up and down starting from nape.

7. Allowing clients head to relax, and work around the hairline with thumb or finger tips in a back and forth motion.

8. Rinse hair starting at hairline working back. Bring spray nozzle back to front side temple area. Cupping hand around ear. Rinse until all shampoo is removed and water runs clear.

9. Repeat process using conditioner.

There you have it! Shampooing like the professionals!
