Fragrance is like spicy food. The more you eat spicy things then the more spice you need in order to detect it. If you overspray and wear fragrance 24/7 then everything will have “bad performance”

As a guy, these videos have been such a life saver. Just enough inside baseball knowledge, in a super accessible way, and it gave me the threads to start pulling on and finding things that work for me (Maison Margiela's By The Fireplace, as it happens)

As for faves?
Tobacco Vanille doesn't work as well on me as I hoped, but it's a really solid choice, and I've been using up the decant a friend gave me happily enough, especially in busier environments like restaurants, where it's sweetness is a little curtailed by the context.

By the Fireplace, of course - suits me really well. It's distinctive, not too aggressive, and lightly used I'm finding it a really good autumn-winter go to for most days. Matches my old books and cable knit vibes.

But also a surprising amount of use out of Neroli Portofino - though I think the critiques of its longevity are valid. On the warmer days it's a nice little bright note that gives an extra sense of clean to me.

Tobacco Vanille is sooo good! my only grumble is that it doesnt spray out in a fine mist - it shoots out lika water gun 😅

Side note - try this Melissa. You need to try Dior Homme 2020 + Molecule 01! I was gate keeping this for months ahah. The way it boosts the woods and freshness in Dior Homme making it less bitter. It becomes beast mode
