A gateway game that I have been enjoying quite a bit is Diced Veggies. It's very much a kids game on the surface. Easy to learn, bright colors, cute theme. But there's enough strategy there with mixing recipes and hype cards to create some fun game play. Maybe it's too simple to make this list, but I've got simple friends and they enjoy it quite a bit.

Great video! I'm always looking for videos that push the newer gateway games (I'm sick of always bringing out TtR and Catan). I'll definitely be buying Courtisans!

Thanks for actually showing the games. Most of these gateway games are just hosts talking. Hard for those of us actually wanting to get into board games with these Gateway games without being able to visualize it.

Yes, I am sick of my friends trying my board games and sucking at them and never coming back.

I do want them to come back to play all my games but under my terms.

Dog Park - Not for me, I don't want people who like it to be in my house. I get the reasoning. Not my choice though.

I want to go to Japan! I have the game but I need to open it, house rule it so you must eat sushi while playing it. We should go to Japan IRL.

Courtesans is fun and easy to learn but it feels like a Reiner Knizia game and he is my sword mortal enemy. If you're reading this Reiner, Tim Horton's Parking Lot the one in Mississauga Ontario Canada near Hurontario Rd. and Eglinton Ave. 8:00pm EST August 27th (ANY YEAR). I will wait for you every year at this date/time to settle this.

Skyrise game is amazing but can only play the deluxe edition because base retail game is for plebs, I'm no pleb, I treat my gaming addiction like my other addictions. Top tier escorts and high quality tar for this guy.
