Glenn Close has a small cameo! Close is one of the greats in acting, so you may be surprised that you missed her cameo in this movie. As she was visiting her friend Robin Williams on set, director Steven Spielberg asked her if she wanted to appear as a pirate. She enthusiastically agreed and made for a very convincing male pirate, so convincing in fact that while she was in costume a script girl came over and began to flirt with her.
