Samsung Freestyle Knockoff (MagCubic Projector Review) (Don't Buy this)

Hey Nerds!

Okay! So! I thought it would be really interesting to review a knock off of the Samsung Freestyle but a company called MagCubic!

This projector surprised me in a lot of ways!
And I think in a lot of ways it’s a great little device! Yes, it’s got its fair share of foibles and fuck ups, but genuinely, I have today that I’m shocked at how well (overall) this projector actually works!

Heyyo! So as expected, I'm noticing some gradual degradation in the image quality. Overall, vibrance etc. are the same, but I'm noticing marks on the image which aren't related to the lens. My guess is that there's a flaw or dust on the actual imaging panel.
Something I can't fix without taking apart the projector. It was fun while it lasted, but honestly, as expected, I think this one has run it's course. I think we all kind of saw this coming, but *I'D JUST LIKE TO REAFFIRM THAT YOU PROBABLY SHOULDN'T BUY THIS*

NO ONE should assume this will have even decent sound. Youre gonna HAVE to use speakers or a headset

I've got one of these and for the money it's absolutely brilliant. Never had any problem casting from my phone and also you can manually adjust keystone and shift the picture both left and right.

For those that are struggling with Netflix Disney and YouTube not opening you have to update the date and time and it should work

They updated the software. I got it with Netflix and YouTube installed. Prime is currently buggy.

How do you make a square/rectangle shape? Mine has a trapezium like shape very frustrating. Anyone with advice or help would appreciate 🙏

I just bought this for $35 and my coworker bought the Samsung 2 projector for $600 so we can compare.

hi! I’ve recently got it and it is ok, although something weird happens when I watch stuff: the scale of what I’m watching is fine, but I can still see the surrounding frame is out of proportion, despite the keystone being manually adjusted (I can’t see the frame when I’m on the home screen ). Any clue of what it might be? Cheers!!

I am setting my kids room up with a harry potter theme and I was thinking about getting one if these to project on ripped fabric over the door so that it looks like the brick entrance on the train platform... so basically just a picture of a brick wall. Do you think this will be suitable for that?

I’m having a hard time launching Netflix and Disney plus. Screen mirroring is fine but I don’t know how to fix it

Loved it that youtubers are starting to add the environmental/social aspect to the reviews. Having worked at a sweatshop like environment, public pressure helps to force positive changes, even if reluctant from the bosses. Keep it up!

Why when people buy the cheap shhh they instantly tell you how good it's not when compared to the better costly one instead of telling you how surprised they are of it's functionality at said price

I noticed on the Amazon product page it says you can’t cast to it via Bluetooth from any devices, but you were able to get it to accept media from your iPhone/macbook. I’ll probably only use it for my switch/PC but that’s good to know.

If your on a budget and you don't want to spend so much money on the Samsula freestyle this is a good alternative to it it's totally worth buying

Is this projector supposed to save the Network wifi Password? The opening have for some reason I have to manually put the wifi password every time I use it
