The first martyr of the Early Church was a man named Stephen. He was killed defending his faith in Jesus Christ.  His life and death serve as a great example for Christians today and also challenges us with three questions:  (1) Do I love God more than my own life? (2) Do I forgive others who have wronged me? and (3) Am I prepared to see the Lord when I die?  Pastor Gary teaches through these questions today and encourages us to pray for the same courage and boldness that Stephen had.

You know, in today's world, we sure are blessed to have a shepard on this earth who teaches the word of God book by book / vs. by vs. You don't see this hardly ever today, I am saddened to say. Pastor Gary is one fantastic anointed teachers and I feel so blessed that I came across one of his teachings on YouTube over a year ago, and to this day, I faithfully open up his app and do a Bible study every night after work. I even have this other retired pastor who is now bed ridden who makes me send him all the studies I do to him as well. We are both addicted to the teachings of the word of God!! 😂❤💃🕺😁👐

I have been following your teachings and I really appreciate the clarity and the simplicity by which you explain the scriptures. One of the principles I learned in studying the bible is that the bible interprets itself as the apostle Peter also emphasized in 2Peter 1:20, no private interpretation. In your account of Acts 7:55-56, where Stephen saw our Lord standing on the right hand of God, you interpreted standing as Jesus is applauding (other pastors whom I've heard say welcoming Stephen). I searched the scriptures and this is what I found: Isaiah 3:13 The LORD standeth up to plead, and standeth to judge the people. Also in Psalm 82:1 God standeth in congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods; and Amos 9:1- I saw the Lord standing upon the altar; and he said, Smite the lintel of the door that the posts may verses interpret standing as judgment; and here in Acts 7, judgment for the nation of Israel for rejecting the Holy Spirit(Stephen was full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom-verse 6:3, 7:55). The Jews know this for they search the scriptures; but in response to what they heard from Stephen, v57-58 they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord. and cast him out of the city and stoned him, and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet whose name was Saul(who later would become the apostle to the Gentiles(Acts 9:15, Romans 11:13, and to whom the dispensation of grace is revealed-Gal 1:11-16, Eph 3). Was Israel judged for rejecting the Holy Spirit? I believe so as these verses indicate: Romans 11:11, 20, and v25 which I would quote: For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits that blindness in part is happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in. But thru their fall, salvation has come to the Gentiles (Romans 11:11). In Christ, we are blessed(Eph 1:3), accepted in the Beloved(highly favored-Eph 1:6), and deeply loved(Romans5:8). Thank You Abba Father for Your gift of salvation in Jesus name!

I have struggled in my deepest heart, for about all my life, with the humbling of myself, worshiping God, and being subject to His punishment. I had feelings of resentment over the unfairness of things I see and hear in the world. Things I have had to suffer through. Knowing God could stop it, even when I knew it was man's own fault. Today, i finally got it!!! It is pride that causes me to feel resentment and anger. Today I finally realized that God giving His SON as a sacrifice for me, because He loves me that much, that I knew no matter how prideful I've been and resentful, His sacrifice trump's any and all of my misguided feelings pride. I thank God for this final break through. I thank God for Pastor Hamrick's message.
