thank you so much! something weird had happened after i opened a mod, and it transferred all of the profiles from my account to my other account. thanks for helping me upt it back where it belongs!

Question does the new launcher still have the problem that messed with were mods go? It's the main reason I haven't touched the new launcher and kept playing in the old one

So do you have to have purchased the new game in order to do this? At the moment I have the new launcher, but the old game from 1.16 All I get when starting is a 1.16.5 Demo.
