the reason the steering feels a little "vague" is because the e36s had progressive steering racks, while the z3 has a linear steering rack, and the z3 one fits in e36s so its a very common upgrade to do

I used to have a GT. it was a special machine back in the day, lightweight bonnet (hood) and doors. LSD and that engine which was creamy smooth and loved to rev. I swapped it for M3 Evo after 6 months for £5k profit.

Two special features:
1. you could remove the spacers from the spoiler and use them to make the spoiler lower.

2. some M3 GTs were delivered with yellow fog lights, which were later banned in Germany.

My college roomate’s cousin had one of these, but just the regular E36 version (non M3). Always thought those looked pretty nice. E36 is probably one of my favorite generation of M3 based on looks, lighter weight, more mechanical power train, balance, etc.
