Can change the ball in competition settings under editing - not sure that will improve the team perfotmances - I would train as CMF and look for a loan at this point tbh.

At least in centre mid you can be more involved in the game and the tempo

Few things I noticed in this when vs COM in this "modern" PES are the foul is easy against you, free kick is a 90% goal, team plays shite and not according to their rl counterpart regardless of what difficulty you're on and mostly importantly useless turns and dribbles by the COM when bringing the ball into the box.
