World Of Tanks Blitz Face Off
We finally have some action in tier 7 today. It's time for a battle between Soviet heavy tank IS and German heavy Tiger I. IS has a big alpha damage gun, while Tiger has better DPM and mobility. Let's see which tank is going to win, Soviet or German!

One of the advantage of IS is that it can use peek-a-boo tactic quite effectively, while Tiger I is more suited for brawling with its thick armor

Recently got me an IS-7. Before I did I heard people say that it’s an outdated line to grind, especially the IS-3. Tell you what, starting tier 6 to tier 10 I had all kinds of fun. Kept the IS-3 and I’m gonna eventually get KV-1S, IS and IS-8 back. IS is a great tank tier to tier in good hands. Peek a boo tactics with a bit of side scraping will get you damage and enjoyment.

In the 1v1 segment your IS didnt equipped with the top 122mm so the reload could be a second or two longer ( the 122mm from the kv1s have a bit pointy muzzel brake compare to the top one)

Tiger is a 1v1 tank.
IS is support with big alpha dmg.
It's more team-dependent than Tiger I.

It’s funny that IS is the design and built in the response to the German Tiger. (That’s why Tiger II exist to counter IS and IS-2)
And yet in WG POV Tiger just out class against IS/IS-2 (Yes, IS with 122mm gun is considered IS-2, it is the IS-2 design in Early War period)

Tier 7 winners are Black Prince, Tiger I, 45TP Habicha and AMX M4 Modelle 45 because they have fast reloading so the IS, IS 2, Ju To, T29 classes only win damage but losing to reloading, indeed big damage can kill easily but sometimes you have to lose to tanks of the same tier that have small damage but fast reload

Now, try IS VS KV-3, they are both quite similar except that the IS is more on mobility while the KV-3 is more on armor

Tiger 1's reloading has 5. seconds with 220 damage

From my experience with both i would say the tiger is better for brawling and the IS is for sniping. I even used to get trouble fighting the tiger with the IS3

Fun Fact, the Wargaming's IS in the soviet branch is actually the IS-2 Model 1942, and the Chinese branch IS-2 is the IS-2 Model 1944

idk but i use to go reverse with IS becouse i practicly bounce more with that tactic, but the down side is -no gun depresion

Of course, alpha huuuuge damage is useful for helping team, not just with oneself.

Tiger 1 has more hull armour than t8 if used correctly
