I'm a tile guy these are the jobs i love ripping out, wrong trowel no back butter no tape on cement board seams that floor will fail in less than a year

That's how it's done notice the grooves are all in one direction. Well done. That prevents the tile from cracking.

En clase de instalacion de losas, aprendí, q se moja la parte aspera de la loza antes de pegarla al cemento. Para q no coja aire y pegue TODA con un lijero mvto de atras y adelante. Asi el cemento impregnara en toda la losa.
Las tuyas, cuando sequen sonaran huecad en ciertas areas. Y eso se lo comento, xq correctamente instalada, correctamente pegada!

Im used 1/2 inch trowel for that size... n spacers big dog .. do it the right way
