The toy making just warmed my heart. My father was a wooden toy maker. All his grandkids have things that he made. I have kept everything he made for my kids. He would have been 98 this year. I go into his woodshop and remember the smells of sawdust, the sound of the hand sanders...working with the wood lathe. Those times are precious memories. Thank you for sharing that with us! Happy Birthday, Amanda! And yes, Gilbert was our dream guy! I'm gonna go pull my DVDs now. HAHA!

My dad began carving Santas from cypress knees decades ago and gives them to loved one and, of course, his children and grandkids! He also makes each of his loved ones a hand carved sign to display in their home, especially during milestone moments like weddings, birth of a child, etc. Stephen, I love your dad’s wooden toys and incredible wood shop!
