Tbh as an Israeli the Israeli people themselves most certainly won't give up, assuming something like this were to happened not long after this alert groups of people would make their own defense groups and whole cities would come together to make new defence groups.
The people of Israel don't like being told what to do (in a good way) thus the invading country would need to take on the army the government and the people to take over Israel.
Since we are surrounded by enemies and each citizen not matter what gender has to serve the army for around 3 years, the sense of defending the country is really strong on many people
