Given that this is the first Lord of the Rings anime adaptation, this movie may well be Tolkien's story coming full circle ( even though The Silmarillion, The Return of the Shadow, and The Children of Húrin are unfinished but stories that has yet to be told).

The story of this movie set centuries before Lord of the Rings looks very interesting and I already want to see it, but I'm worried that they made it into an anime, I'm not attached to anime these days, but just because this is a Middle Earth movie, I'll watch it.
And for some reason that ancient king of Rohan was called Helm, Iron Hand or Hammer Hand. Because he was very strong, and that scene where he kills that wild man was good, although they already spoiled 1:13 with that.
Even that scene reminds me of the Iron Hand from the Shadow of War video game, when in that non-canon universe, consumed by a Ring of Power, he mercilessly kills his daughter's suitor, her, and all his enemies in a painful memory before becoming Nazgul.

Oh goodie, another mary sue girlboss movie using a made up character instead of drawing on the literal thousands of pages of LOTR and the Silmarillion. Is it too much to hope this doesn't suck? At least the animation looks fantastic. Fingers crossed, expectations low.
