Graham Lumsdon was not a great fly tier by any stretch. If you put him on a stretch of river and your life depended on him catching a fish you were in safe hands. My friends and I would often look into his fly box in complete bewilderment. It was the source of much mirth amongst of circle. Nonefar of us were in doubt of Graham skill on a river. His friendship and guidance were always valued. He is sorely missed but never forgotten.

The Mull Black Killer is a fly pattern of legend, Graham always said more than three ingredients and super glue is all you need for an effective nymph. This conforms to that recipe. It can be tied in various weights to suit your needs. Ideal for both Grayling and Trout.

Sadly the wool has long been used up and I now use Highland Peat but black hare or squirrel dubbing will serve you well.
