Spring Will Come Again from HEARTLAND, The Musical composed by Philip Westin

Heartland is a 2-act musical composed in 2007 by Philip with Lyrics by Burt Peachy and Book by Burt Peachy and Michael Olton. The work is adapted from Willa Cather’s novel, O Pioneers!, and is set in the Nebraska plains around 1880.

In 2008, Heartland was one of four works nationally to win the coveted ASCAP Musical Theatre award, and was highlighted in a workshop presented by ASCAP at Disney Studios in Burbank, California, hosted by composer Stephen Schwartz.
