Zeref might look like a villain and sound like one when you hear tales from other wizards. And he might turn as a bad guys later in the show but Zeref was never meant to be a villain nor he wanted to. Once that curse was set on him it was all over for him. No matter if he tried to be a kind person, he has to stay away from all he cares about and that life itself. He might try stay away, beg them to not go near him. But if someone gets too arrogant and get too close to him they will be gone forever. And if someone witness it they of cource are gonna blame him as the murderer. And when they see a dark aura that vanquish life, ofc they gonna see him as a black wizard of evil sorcery. But Zeref can't control it. Its his curse and no matter where he goes, death will follow but he won't die nor will he age. He must live and suffer torment of everyone he watches dies infront of him. Zeref to me has the most tragic life out of all characters in fairy tail coz someone who adores life now must live i na curse that want to take away life from him and make him as the villain. I envy Zeref and if I were a demon of Tartaros I would gladly find away to put Zeref to sleep and rest. No man should have to experience this or live as a dark sorcery that was never meant to happen. Mavis of all people should know that and she does. She lucky she ran away like she did coz she could had killed everyone around her if she had panicked inside there. We wouldnt have Makarov either and that would be the end of Fairy Tail. This song speaks to me of an Ancient tale about the legendary Black Wizard Zeref who became the most darkest wizard of all time. Sadness, Loneliness and Despair. That why he hated Hades the most not the Prackt but the man he became. By taking countless life just for Zeref resurrection. Making him even more dark and evil which Zeref doesn't wanna be! Now Zeref can't adore life coz everyone will see him as a true enemy of Ishgar.
