Professor Blythe Nilson of the University of British Columbia explains how 3D animations help her students better understand physiological concepts. Students need to understand things like how electricity travels through the myocardium during each cardiac cycle and how gas molecules bind to hemoglobin in red blood cells, and Professor Nilson has found that quick 3D animations help her students visualize these processes and really "get" them.
