I agree with you Zoe, Africa feels like home right away compared to South America. I know Spanish and have lived months in South America and Africa, and sure South America got the one thing going we all know. But there is always that culture wall in South America, safety concern and possible racism. But the culture and being just black in Africa feels like no where else in the world. No longer you have to wonder if someone is being racist. There is no language barrier in places like Kenya and they will understand your jokes and needs much faster than latinos, plus you can blend in easily as black man which is better for your safety. Africa got culture, safety(Kenya) and not to mention business opportunity.

Sorry for your loss Zoe. As to guys who constantly compare women of different countries i do not get it. Just go where you want and that is end of story. This is why some black women think passport bros are clowns. You can have your preferences without downing people who look like you or have same skin color. Can you imagine a Chinese walking around saying South American or white women are better than their women. When you say that, it inherently means you are admitting that white men are also better than black men. It is pure ignorance.

I was at the Pretronio Alvarez festival in Cali last week and you see black people who are proud of themselves and their heritage. Even as an African, i could not help but notice there are some black Africans living on the continent who are not as proud as these black Colombians. A person who has no idea about their history or heritage deserves no respect in this world. A man should have a sense of self respect and pride but this is what happens when some folks do not like what they see in the mirror when they wake up.

I went to Kenya with my family last year. My wife is Kenyan, we spent time in her village and Nairobi. I liked it so. It may not technically be the Black American ancestral home, but it felt like home. She already has property in the village. But we bought an apartment together in Nairobi on our trip. I'm not sure that it would be permanent, but we will be there for extended periods of time if circumstances allow.
