What is it like to take stimulant medication? What was the first day like? Well, it was both amazing and terrible.

Medication truly helps millions of people all over the world. When it works it can really help. Medications don't work for everyone. After taking stimulants for several weeks the effects feel less extreme and it becomes the person's new norm.

I would still be on stimulants if it did not aggravate another medical issue I have. What medication I take will be Story Time video in a future date.

Sounds like your doctor should have talked to you more and given you a lower dose. I took it adderall for my first time yesterday 1/2 of a 10mg and i felt amazing! I got so much done, still had an appetite and slept like a baby. I really think proper dosing is key

Thank you for sharing. I've been on concerta, and we're working towards getting the dosage just right. And I'm already doing really well on this dose. I did notice being more grumpy or irritable for 45 minutes to an hour after it wore off. But that part is getting easier for me. And my husband has been giving me some time to hide from the world for a little bit too.

I'm sorry meds didn't work for you. Unfortunately they don't work for everyone. And I'm glad you posted your experience. Because it's important for the sucessful and unsuccessful situations with medications are available for those thinking about trying them.

When I first took Adderall, I could feel it wear off. It was so strange. Like, at night, my mind would go 1000x per minute and hop from thought to thought.... Then, I stopped taking Adderall and realized the racing thoughts are normal for me. I also experienced muscle tightness, which was fixed by taking vitamins.

My first day on it!!! I’m not ADHD I’m severely depressed and anxiety but I think I’m adhd I’ve been on the go all day! 😂 but I’m also on my anti depressant and anxiety meds so we’ll see how this go

I wish you said the dosage you were prescribed...I got prescribed 5mg and TODAY will be my first time taking it.... Im a bit scared. Not going to lie, but my Dr. Told me I don't need to take it every day, just when i needbto get things done

Sounds like you don’t have ADHD because if you did have it, it would calm u down it does the opposite affect to people with ADHD when you take Adderall …if you don’t have ADHD it gives u ADHD, basically

This is my 2nd day on Adderall and I don't feel anything different. This my first time taking it and yes it is the strength xr capsules and 10 mg. I was told if it does not help me with a week to the doc know. I just do not feel different at all.

Today was my first day and I had an exactly opposite experience! I got super sleepy and took a 3 hour nap. Now, about 8 hours later, I do feel vaguely caffenated. But I don't think that's helping me get more done or anything. Maybe it doesn't work for me, idk.

I’m on 30mg Adderall IR twice a day and it does NOTHiNG 😭 I just switched to Focalin and it makes me so sick . I don’t know what to do 🤦🏻‍♀️. I’m gonna change my diet and see if that helps .

Me taking Adderall has the same effect as me taking a multivitamin . Nothing . I so wish it helped me like it did you !
