Tenacious D, the band led by actor Jack Black, is calling off its tour and putting "all future creative plans on hold" after band member Kyle Gass made a joke about the assassination attempt on former Pres. Trump on Saturday.

Gass issued an apology for his joke, writing the line was "highly inappropriate, dangerous and a terrible mistake."

I’m pro Trump. I’m also pro Jack Black. He’s one of the greatest talents to have emerged over the last two decades. A joke was made. It wasn’t him that made it. It was in poor taste, and if you took away the politics, only mildly in poor taste. It’s time cancelling got cancelled. We all wanna wake up each day in pursuit of happiness. The journeys differ.
