Breaking news! Shopify is moving to the B2B space.

So what has been the driver?

Is it because of the lost investment value in the market?

Is it because they are not as sold on the headless?

Why would they not announce more investment in headless?

And try to compete with the newer brands of startups such as commercetools, contentful, or Bloomreach.

By the way, what’s the big deal about the B2B space?

Are existing players in the B2B space doing well?

Do B2B companies really care for eCommerce?

What do you think is going to happen to the product?

One of the challenges in product experience is going to be that B2B and B2C are very different from the data model and transaction perspective.

So what made Shopify so successful because of the simplicity of the product may fire back.

As B2B is much harder to set up and configure.

So would the decision to go for B2B fire back?

Or are they going to have a completely different toolset for B2B and B2C?

If they keep it separate, then the companies that are doing both B2B and B2C may not get a seamless experience.

The limitation in the experience would be because of the lack of seamless integration between data models.

So what do you think is going to happen to Shopify?

Would this decision work in their favor?

Or is it likely to fire back?

And how does this impact you personally?
