I was a fba seller for 10 years, we started out in a spare bedroom, with a budget of $500, we had our own office and warehouse within 5 years. Then overnight our sales took a nose dive, competition ramped up from around the world with many sellers undercutting each other, inferior products and a race to the bottom.... In the end im glad i left when I did. We we're make 30% markup on each item, it was good whilst it lasted. Nowadays if i go onto a post office you see people with a handful of items, loads of them, amazon just selling you a dream now, Amazon are the real winners in this.

Hi Steve! First of all, thank you for always helping to educate people. I have been watching for months and have learned so much! Here's my question: I have an established e-commerce store already with a large catalog (600+ items). Of course we always want to bring in more sales. Would it be worth it to list maybe, 20-25 of our best sellers on Amazon, in the hopes people will then look up our store? I guess this question also applies to eBay, Etsy, and POD marketplaces like Redbubble. I'm thinking these are opportunities to get eyes on our brand and drive more potential traffic to our store. Chinese sellers are the biggest competitors. They have a lot of leverage and target bestsellers top ranking products

Good data, except the level of sellers is not mentioned. The top sellers on amazon are Chinese companies worth billions of dollars. You can not compete with them. I was selling item on Amazon for $19 till Chinese seller came on board and started selling the same item for $11. The items I was selling for $40 they sell for $15. I lost money on Amazon

Im in research stages. I want to sell one product and one product only. I have many concerns about Amazon. One being how do you even know or test your product without wasting tons of $. Ive seen so many people on shows like shark tank spend yrs and mortgaging their homes to get a product launched. If I put out a product, there are many savy and ruthless cheats that might see my product who know what they are doing and steal the product with a hit and run. How do you know how to even start?

Well according to where I live you still have to hav a business license in your city county and state and there are lots of fees with Amazon and they can copy my products I don't know if I'm good with that

I know this online training used to be $5, 000, but now the training program has a discount of 40%, which is much lower. I think it's kind of fishy when they lower the price a lot.
