A question of reported speech from grammar section of paper set 1(code: 2/1/1) of English paper of term 2 CBSE seems incorrect. Two sentences given in question paper were general statements, so the answer should have been as no change. But in question paper itself some starting words from the answer (was and had) were already given converted to past tense, which seems to be not justified, as the statements from question were general statements (general opinion about whole category of youth) so there should have been no change in tense and whole sentence as well.
This comment should reach to cbse so that it can look into the matter.
