Another excellent repair. I had no idea that’s how they worked. Great video my friend!

Never had one of the Mustang Foxbody clusters apart. Good improvement and interesting how the Speedo works. My first thought was the speedo cable which is usually the culprit on old ford trucks.

That's a pretty dramatic difference, great fix for a super common foxbody annoyance! Just saw your store btw, going to scoop up a hoodie.

I wish I would have known this 15 years ago before throwing my cluster away for another used one. 😢

Thank you again for another good video. It's really hard to find instruction on mechanical speedometers, let alone a Fox Mustang one. My 91 LX 140mph speedo is acting up, and I think this vid helped me fix it. My problem relates to the tiny distance between the two opposing metallic "arms" and the magnetic disk. At first I thought the fragile spring was at fault, but you state it's only to dampen the needle return, so I was able to rule that out. Thanks again. Oh, if you know more about how the speedo works, an in-depth tutorial would be appreciated, at least by me. I really like learning how things work and can figure out a lot on my own, but it's always best to be taught by someone who knows. Without a father or uncle (or sister) to teach me, it ain't always easy.

I have a hard time understading what you did to this piece, as it ain't clear, in order to fix it. I hear you saying the outside edge mushrooming out as compared to the rest of the surface. And here you lost me as I don't see you adjusting, bending or sanding anything.. Somehow the needle is winding smoother on your last ride. What did you do? By the way, your taking apart and explaining what you are trying to do is great!

My 87's 85-mph speedo does fine until I get above 70 or so, then it starts jumping (seems like its floating). It's been awhile but seems I remember changing the cable years ago and the vss too. Do you think your fix in this video would work for this? I'm currently waiting for a dimmer switch to come in...it was acting wonky, especially if I rolled it all the way to turn interior light on.

Man I love the sound of a stockish stang, my gear drive and blower completely destroyed that sound

Not really sure what you did there, the camera was at a angle where you couldn't see what you were doing but i guess when i take mine off it will become clear.

Im just a guy who likes to tinker around too! 😎 This is an excellent video, this problem is super common and I’ve actually replaced clusters because the needle jumped around like that 🫤… I didn’t know it was possible to fix them! Thank you my friend 💯
