The only thing occurring that wasn't insanity, ended up being labeled insanity. The men who had no say in anything were ordered to resume the insanity they had managed to temporarily halt. When the only people present who managed to regain their sanity after losing it during the previous year of insanity is a miracle in and of itself. Had this rediscovery of sanity taken hold and grown enough to establish a presence, this malignant war possibly could have ceased shortly after this event had occurred. Unfortunately, this carnage brought about as a result of old archaic unchanged battlefield tactics being used with a leap in technology of the artillery, rapid fire machine guns with ammunition capacities never before seen, and the introduction of armor and air power for the first time in history. This war continued another 3 years.
