The Three Lives of James Madison: Genius, Partisan, President (Noah Feldman, Penguin Random House, Oct. 31, 2017). Noah Feldman is Felix Frankfurter Professor of Law and Director of the Julis-Rabinowitz Program on Jewish and Israeli Law at Harvard Law School. The discussion will include commentary by David Armitage, Harvard University Lloyd C. Blankfein Professor of History; Bruce Mann, Carl F. Schipper, Jr. Professor of Law, Harvard Law School; and Eric Nelson, Robert M. Beren Professor of Government, Harvard University.

I think the older one made his up on the spot and didn't take into account how prepared the guy before him would be? Because there's quite a stark contrast between them.

Certainly not what I expected, which was basically the question: What is your justification for yet another Founder's biography? What I received from the presentation was the recapitulation of how a man's mission in life changes over time, and with those changes shifts in alliances.
