I always found it interesting how men were arguably the generally accepted gold diggers in this society, given women's dowries. Men often tried to marry women with the highest dowry they could, especially if their family was struggling as that dowry could save them. Women usually tried to marry the highest social position/title; it usually came with wealth, but more than one woman received a rude surprise after marriage.

I find it ridiculous how much 'Bridgertons' enjoys depicting men's regular night visits to borthels and in the morning return to pĺay roles of Prince Charming.

Amazing piece to get context. Please ignore those who capitalize their ignorance.

5:02 I would love to see romance story of these women. How they manage to get the right husband who supports her during such a time?

It is a fantasy, clothes, actions, "strong women". Strong women regularly got punished in some way.

Oh please! Caroline of Brunswick .... There is no "sl#t - shaming" regarding her! She abandoned her husband
and child to travel around Europe with her lover until her
father-in-law died and her husband became king. She
was banned from the coronation (never crowned
queen) and later buried in her home country. (Not that
her husband, George IV behaved any better than her!)
The public probably felt sorry for her because they
disliked George IV so much!

Diana was sleeping around all the time that Charles
was with Camilla during Diana's and Charles' marriage.
If the general public had known about her many affairs,
how would she have been viewed by the public?

It wasn’t black Queen Charlotte! People didn’t have a problem with Queen Charlotte, until they realized she was black!
