I’m definitely not asking for silk press and leaving with cornrows tho…

Doing all this just to put her in a wig seems really counterproductive

I would like to see how they determine "damaged" hair. Everyone doesn't have thick hair. Just because it's thin doesn't mean it's damaged.

I'm very happy she took your advice, and I hope she sticks with it. I'm sure the results will be remarkable. The removal of the damaged hair alone made a huge difference. She's in the right hands.

I will trust the pros. Once I wanted to start Locs and my loctician evaluated my hair and scalp and realised that I had a lot of inflammation and thinning hair. She refused to install Locs at that time and wanted me to wait a while for my hair and scalp to recover and she would reveal to see if my hair could support them. I’m in the process of getting my hair and scalp healthy and I’m glad she recommended that I wait. 6 mos to a year to wait is spot on.. I will trust the pros + I will do my due diligence and verify the info I’m getting from them also.

No, a silk press would have been less stressful on the hair if the client is not returning to the salon every two weeks. Braids not redone and washed regularly pull on the scalp. Unfortunately, many women with weaves leave it in too long. Dandruff, sweat, pil, grease and glue build up. Plus to maintain the weave is much more expensive. Wash your hair weekly, eat a healthy diet, drink plenty of water, wash your hair at least weekly, comb it out and oil your scalp. Talk to your doctor about vitamins.

She had too much breakage. You advised her well and she accepted your advice. Caring for your clients IS Smart business!

Why is everyne giving the same cut? Straight across and that's it?

I don't believe in just cutting all someone's hair off at once I prefer gradually when hair is damaged and using treatments and limiting heat I don't think it's necessary to just do these big chops

Her hair looked so much better after the cut. I don't agree about encouraging her to wear wigs though.

Hair naturally grows at different speeds her hair didn’t look damaged at all maybe thin in certain areas but definitely not damaged. A couple tracks could have fixed the issue not a Dora cut. Because if her hair grows at different speeds it’ll simply be right back at the same place she started. It’s called gradual trims not a complete cut.

was it really that damages? ive has hait dressers cut my hair off was supposed to be a trim, dead ends? i think some make a mistake try to fix it it turns into a haircut? it wasnt sparce thining or multiple lengths to me i think too much was cut off? her hair grows so she dont have to worry😊
