To celebrate and welcome our 50th subscriber, I would like to do something which our channel really love to do for it: another race between the legendary Dreyfuss Hudson with PT tender and Double-Headed K4s with streamlining and a rare smoke deflector! Everyone deserves a second chance; for train race, they have infinite chances!

In 1943, The New York Central "World's most famous train": the 20th Century Limited was running in more than 3 sections with 12-18 cars consist. On the other hand, PRR's Broadway Limited has been struggling with very low ridership since 1936. To save the railroad's premier flagship, PRR's management dropped the extra-fare of the Broadway Limited in 1943, and surprisingly the public's reaction was so positive that the length of consist extended from 9-car to 14-car, revenue-per-train-miles rose 525%!! ( data from Pennsylvania Railroad's Broadway Limited by Joe Welsh)

In this video, you will see both crack trains with historically correct consist: 18-car Century vs 14 car Broadway of 1943. In order to add some fresh material in this re-match video, a PT Tender was used for the Dreyfuss Hudson, which was not available until 1945.

The legendary Dreyfuss Huson vs The Double-headed Best Pacific in the world! I hope you enjoy the race and the beauty of the trains! Thank you very much for watching! : )

A double-header vs a single-header? It's similar size class, so two-on-one's not exactly fair...
