SEAL'S 2nd ALBUM - ANOTHER CLASSIC

Doing another album review featuring Seal. This one is his second studio album, called Seal (wait, wasn't his first album called Seal???), which most people call Seal II or Seal '94. I'm resisting this album for a current project and was curious to see if there were other retrospective on YT. Truly surprised there isn't a whole lot available, but I'm glad to have found your channel! I was a huge fan of Batman Forever as a 6yo and because of that soundtrack I asked my dad for the Seal album. It was kind of out of pocket for me as a kid who grew up on rock, alt, and punk music, but this was one of my first total immersion experiences with this soul, rnb, pop style. I remember listening to it a ton, mostly the first half of the album. Bring It On was a fav then and still fav, and I think is a great bridge between the sound of his first record to '94. To this day, Prayer for the Dying is one of the greatest chorus vocal melodies ever imo. It's infectious and impactful. Appreciate your review!

Kiss from a Rose..definitely one of his best songs. I heard he actually hated it and didn't want to put it out because it was embarrassing to him. Funny how that works. Artists who love certain tracks they make are perceived to be trash and those they hate turn out to be the greatest! Seal always delivers some easy listening music.
