Or how about some women are genuinely happy being single and not willing to settle on guys who don't make them happy just to be a part of a couple 🤔

Joy is right. "Find somebody that is easy to be with". NOT someone that pushes your buttons.

Dating apps are the issue. It completely obliterated how people usually connect with each other

For years I've been much happier by myself than with a man. Been there, done that, got the disappointment.

People are learning to be self-sufficient and enjoy their own company and aren’t interested in codependency. It’s actually healthy. I always think it’s sad when someone doesn’t feel whole without another person. This isn’t the case with all married couples of course, but it is for a lot of them. Plus marriage is kind of an outdated institution; something originally rooted in men wanting women as their subordinates.

Im 34 and have never done romance. Never been on a date. A virgin. Whole 9 yards. And have zero desire to ever engage in any form of romance.

Now before everyone jumps all over me, there are good men out there. I just happen to have never had a relationship with one, outside of my dad and brother. When I went looking, I looked for someone to build a life with, a good companion, a friend, someone with similar values and interests. What I found were men who put on a good act long enough to "hook" me then reveal their true selves once I committed. After that, a man (at least those in my generation) became work. A job I didn't get paid for. The "ball and chain". And I felt like I was there just to make them look good. So I moved on until I had had enough and committed to a single life. Being single means I can put more focus into my career, which meant more promotions and more money. Beyond my career, it means I can live the way I want, spend my money how I want, with no judgement or condemnation, and not have to conform to outdated norms.

I kinda wish we could hear an opinion from someone this relates to.

Women are tired of carrying men emotionally and mentally...not to mention cleaning up after them. I'm glad I'm too old for this crap.

If anyone wants a good example of what they’re saying, watch SATC Charlotte York’s storyline. She was the prime example of why sometimes it’s better to wait and let life surprise you. Her character is fictional but the basis of the story is very real because there are women out there that think the way she did before she met her person

I'm in my 40's and am single. I don't mind it at all being single.
