God almighty bench Holtby!!! 0.75 sv% is horrific. Holtby is big time liability, the team plays with more confidence with Samsonov

That was a sloppy sloppy game defensively. The defense is not working together with Holtby. There are times when the defense has to bail their goaltender out and vice versa. This requires both sides to be on the same page and want to do it. I agree that Samsonov is the hot goaltender and probably should be in there for a few consecutive games. Hopefully this will light a fire under Holtby and he can get back to form. Let’s not forget this same situation played out in 2017 with Grubauer and Holtby came back in the Columbus series and dominated the rest of our cup run. Let’s not give up on him so quick.
