Thanks for this and your Porto video. We took the 88 bus to Bom Jesus but the bus driver who knew we were tourists dropped us at a spot where he thought we'd want so we didn't get the full stairs....but that's OK. For your visitors, there is an outstanding large Marian Shrine that is a 30 minute walk from Bom Jesus or you can take the 88 bus. We then were able to catch the 88 bus back to town from the Marian site. Offline Google maps and public WiFi were very helpful. Thank you again for all your advice!!

I walked from Braga to Bom Jesus and then I walked a nice path to Sameiro. I did get a bus back though 😁

We did find the bus station for bus 88. You just need.to walk down hill a little bit.

577 stairs! Good exercise and nice views too. I am definitely overdue for a trip to Europe - it looks so beautiful in Braga. Great architecture, scenery, and it was so peaceful by the churches. It also seems like the transit was pretty reliable there. Beautiful city garden too.
