The Twins Love System ~ PPG Wave System

One of my favorite tracks from the early 80s.
Love System by The Twins from the album A Wild Romance (1983)

Featured the PPG Wave 2.2 Synthesizer and the Waveterm A for sampling and wave synthesis. All sounds from the PPG System, including drums.

This cover song series contains my own recreations of my favourite songs from the last 50 years. The original music from which I take inspiration belong to their respective owners. I recreate tracks only for personal passion and to pay homage to these tracks.
My intention is not to create covers that sound exactly like the original (if you want to hear identical sounds, please listen the original). It's more of an inspiration with my sounds from the old synthesizers from the past and of course the great appreciation for the original performers and producers.

That was such a lovely blue livery on PPG synths. The key bed did let them down though if you played heavily the whole mechanism wobbled terribly! A classic synth though. Great video as usual Retrosound!

You can never go wrong with some good old PPG synths. For me, they beat a DX7 with ease, especially in the "digital crisp, yet warm" department 🙂

Schönes Cover der Twins. Waren eigentlich der perfekte Endorser für PPG. Der PPG war klanglich (und bei den Auftritten auch optisch) immer im Vordergrund. Ich glaube, die treten immer noch damit live auf 😮 Jedenfalls kann man dich für das PPG System nur beneiden. Danke für die Demo

Sorry I’m late. Wow and wow, what an amazing synth. You can’t believe this synth is over 40 years old and it sounds amazing and so fresh. To have that back in the day must of been mind blowing. Love the computer part to it showing you the waveforms. I take it this is the part that allows you to sample? Or can you sample without the computer part? Thank you very much for showing this keyboard up close, I always been interested in this synth but never seen it up close or know much about it. I know lots of people have used it for songs and the fantastic sounds it makes. As always thank you for sharing your wonderful music talent with us. Just love your channel and could watch you all day on these classic machines you own. Thank you 🙏
