The process for tinting latex paint in a metal drum is as follows :

Firstly, prepare a clean and dry metal drum, making sure there is no rust or residual impurities. Meanwhile, get the required latex paint, colorants and mixing tools ready, such as an electric mixer or clean wooden sticks !

Secondly, pour an appropriate amount of latex paint into the metal drum. The amount should be determined according to the estimated usage, and leave some space for adding colorants and for mixing !

Next, slowly add colorants into the drum according to the selected color formula or by referring to the color swatch. Stir with the mixing tools while adding the colorants to fully mix the colorants and the latex paint. When stirring, pay attention to keeping the strength even and cover the entire bottom and walls of the drum to ensure there are no un-mixed dead corners. After adding colorants each time, stir thoroughly and observe the color changes !

During the tinting process, continuously compare the mixed color with the target color (such as the color swatch or sample). If the color is not deep enough, continue to add small amounts of colorants, then stir evenly again and compare the colors until the expected color effect is achieved !

After the tinting is completed, use the mixing tools to stir thoroughly for a few more minutes to ensure the color is uniformly consistent. Then it can be used for construction !
