It is also worth mentioning that despite having a very strong gravity, Terraria's world also makes you reach your terminal velocity EXTRAORINARILY quickly. You reach it in under 2 seconds whilst on Earth it takes about a dozen seconds.

Fun fact: almost all video games (especially platformers) have higher than Earth’s gravity. The only modern major platformer with about Earth gravity is the moon area in Super Mario Odyssey.

This is using our real-world interpretation of "second". A second in Terraria is more likely just a single frame, which means it's actually like ~60x less than mentioned.

ive found out that the stopwatch is like 1 second delayed in terraria. you hit terminal velocity in like half a second actually. ive gotten the actual acceleration before, but i don't remember it. it's a lot higher than if you use the stopwatch though
