So I’m thinking Dallon changed “ shake me like a tambourine” to “ new romantic philistine” because he’s used the same line in another brobecks song and had it in the original as a place holder lyric. A lil different but not a bad rendition. I’m still definitely singing the original version more often tho

At 1:43 the song changes to 6/4 to fit the lyrics and goes back to 4/4 for two bars, before changing again, this time to 7/4, skipping the 8th beat, which gives it that weird anticipating feeling I love
