KISS' song reached #49 on Billboard's Hot 100 and #11 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock charts. Motley Crue's song reached #78 and #34, respectively. But Bob Rock's production on Dr. Feelgood was good enough to convince Lars Ulrich of Metallica to reach out to Rock to produce Metallica's 1991 black album.

KISS - "Heaven's On Fire" (Animalize, 1984).
Mötley Crüe - ""Same Ol' Situation (S.O.S.)" (Dr. Feelgood, 1989).

I love Kiss, I love Mötley Crüe, I love the Animalize album... but musically speaking and Dr Feelgood's production makes it superior...

Kiss’s is punchy and gritty, Crüe’s is deep and bluesy. Choose your own adventure.

Nikki Sixx also smashed his bass like Paul Stanley in 2005-2006!

Also the riff is similar to Honky Tonk Women by The Rolling Stones.
