Loss of life happened on the Titanic because of decisions to cut corners. It's sad that over a hundred years later we keep making the same mistakes because of corporate interests and greed.

I feel extra bad for the family of the father and son. To lose one family member sucks but to have two trapped (dead or alive) at the bottom of the ocean with limited air and no way of escape is truly horrible. Now a 19 year old with his whole life ahead of him probably wont make it out alive.

It’s crazy to think that dying on the Titanic would’ve been preferable to this scenario.

At least for the Titanic victims, death by implosion or freezing ended their lives rather quickly.

Waiting to die with no food, water, warmth or visibility as well as depleting oxygen for days sounds nightmarishly horrendous in comparison.

That is such a terrifying way to die. With oxygen deprivation and at those low temperatures they will likely fall asleep and pass away. Less then 24hrs of oxygen left

As i’m writing this, they still have enough oxygen left until thursday (less than 2 days from now). They could literally be alive at this exact moment but with no chance of surviving unless they are found 😢

Unless the sub is floating on the surface there is virtually zero chance of rescuing them. There’s just no time to figure out how to bring them up the from bottom.
