This kinda reminds how San Diego chargers wanted a new stadium and the city didn’t want to help

Yeah, you keep showing the renderings of Arlington Heights, so cool vid, but please recheck and remake when the Bears make a decision.

The mayor can’t say no to anyone, but he can’t get anything done either. The city has a billion dollar budget deficit.

I live in the Chicagoland area. It's not getting built. It's ridiculous that we (Illinoians)pay the highest property taxes in the country and that the city it self is in serious trouble both economically with a 1 billion budget shortfall this year alone(2024) and civilly with random crime on the rise. Its a nice luxury item to strive for once order is established, but it is not an affordable one for Chicago at this point in time. If they could raise the money with private bond sales for those who want it, fine, but not with tax dollars.

The stadium needs to be at least 72, 000 and if we get a super bowl, expand to 80k...

I wish my city of San Diego was to get back any nfl team and have a stadium

The Bears should just pay for the whole thing themselves just like Kroenke did in Los Angeles with the $6 billion Sofi Stadium.

If they continue to play as they did last night, they can keep that stadium, but in another city

Bear’s lease ends in 2028 and most of Chicago parks revenue come from solider field

If it's built, it better be open when the Bears play there. Traditions and Customs are important.

Looks like Chicago will see a Super Bowl in the city soon. About time

$5B to go from 61k capacity to 65k? Gotta do better than that

I hope it happens, as a Bears fan, and resident of Illinois, I'd like to see Chicago get a new stadium to not only host Bears games, but also revenue generating events for the city and state. But since Chicago doesn't want any private business like that on the Lakefront, I'm pessimistic.

I wish Illinois, Chicago, and the Bears cut a deal, where Chicago gets 50% of all revenue generated, Illinois gets 30% and the Bears get 20% of all revenue generated, and during Bears games, the Bears get 30% and the state gets 20%. But again, I'm pessimistic.

Way to use Arlington Heights clips or Mayor Lightfoots proposal at the wrong times 😂

White Sox also wants a new ballpark.

Good luck, Chicago 👍🏾

Building this thing would be a disgrace, a slap in the face to all Chicagoans who are struggling with high gas prices, high food prices, soon-to-be-increased property taxes and who knows what all else. And for what? For football games?? It’s ridiculous.

I love this concept but believe the Bears should put it at least half the cost of the infrastructure cost as well.

Remodel the one on the site with some mayor pete funding on mass trasit to and from. Plus a dome, and you'll do just fine.

just build a stadium in Arlington Heights already.
Honestly it's time, they should be allowed to move if they can.
A modern stadium with quality amenities, that's a win for all of us.
